• Click 'Login' icon in the upper right hand corner of the home page
• Once the Login menu appears in the screen, click on 'create account'
• Select the mandatory fields marked * and fill the details (e.g. User Name (email/telephone)

• The system will advise to provide the mode of advising the verification code (e.g. email/mobile)
• The system will promptly advise the code to the selected mode of communication
• Enter the verification code in the space provided by the system
• if the code is accepted by the system, it will prompt you to enter the new password twice.
• If the password is accepted, the system will allow you to login.

• After you login to the account, the system will prompt you to post your advertisement
• Click on 'post your advertisement'. Then the page will display the various categories of machine that you can advertise. You have to click on the category that you wish to advertise your machinery.
• you need to fill in the details pertaining to the machinery and the details of the contact party in the system given page.
• You will thereafter upload the photos up to a maximum of 5 numbers as per the given specifications without exceeding the specified kilobytes.
• If all mandatory fields are correctly filled the system will prompt you to accept and proceed to make payment
• The system will display the methods of payment and the debit or credit cards (e.g. Visa/Master/Amex) accepted for payments
• After selecting the payment methods the system will advise you to fill in the mandatory details.
• Once the payment details are acceptable to the system, a message indicating OTP will come to your mobile or email depending on your selection.
• You are required to enter the OTP correctly in the relevant space provided for in the page.
• The system will produce an e-ticket giving you the relevant reference number in acceptance of your payment which may be downloaded for your further reference.    

  
  

• Immediately after you post the advertisement, the system will advise you via email that the advertisement is under review and the approximate time the advertisement will be active online.
• Thereafter another email will follow informing you that the advertisement is now on live providing you with URL to view the advertisement. This mail also will provide you with a link to  change, edit or delete the advertisement.

• Machinery should be advertised as per the categories stipulated in the page

• Seller has to confirm his agreement to abide by the general terms and conditions, and privacy policy before submitting the advertisement.
• Seller must not advertise any machinery that he has no authority to dispose against payment made by a prospective buyer.
• Seller must ensure the quality and delivery of the machinery advertised in this page. Machine.lk shall not be held responsible for the quality or the genuineness of the transaction between the seller and the buyer or any third parties including financial institutions responsible for payments whatsoever.
• Any deviation from the above and when such deviations are brought to our notice, machines.lk has the right to reject any advertisement of an errant seller at any time with or without notice.

Yes, all advertisements have to be reviewed and approved by machines.lk. However, we shall ensure all advertisements are either approved or rejected within three hours of submission under normal circumstances. Notice to this effect shall be advised to the client through his means of communication

The advertisement shall contain the contact details of the seller. The prospective buyer should click on the preferred mode of contact to connect the seller instantly.

machine.lk does not get involved in either selling or purchasing direct. Ours is a platform for sellers and buyers to communicate and do their transactions seamlessly.

Yes. Please refer paragraph h) above

No Buyer or Seller should duplicate an advertisement of a third party under any circumstance. Any legal impact in doing so shall be the responsibility of the respective buyer or the seller and accordingly should be prepared thereafter to meet any consequences. Machine.lk shall not be responsible to any party for any such acts committed by the advertisers. We consider this an offense that shall be dealt as per paragraph h) above.

Subject to paragraph m) above, all images posted on machines.lk should meet the criteria stipulated in the box provided for images/photos in the advertising application

Yes. You can, provided it is a machinery or spare part relating to a machinery

Payment methods are available in the online application. All visa, master and Amex credit/debit cards are generally accepted

You may report spam and scam related activities to the authorities concerned. You are also welcome to bring to our notice any such activities if noted, enabling us to escalate such issues to the responsible authorities if needed.
